Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Now... if Legolas and Aragorn could stand on either side of the gate....They'd get soggy in the rain.

I think the Saruman would look cool at the end of a hallway.A number of years ago, The Sharper Image offered a full-size 3-D fiberglass stormtrooper from Star Wars (at $6k apiece). My first introduction to one was at a mall where I turned a corner, and saw this tall white figure standing in a window, and carrying a Sterling SMG that seemed pointed at me. I'm grateful that, at the last millisecond, my brain overrode my instinct to throw myself to the floor and dig a foxhole with my fingernails.
To: Overtaxed
Yeah... that would take away a bit of their impact.

Steve and I put the finishing touches on the boxes and now they are all sealed and ready to go, except one...just in case I get something I need to send in the mail tomorrow. All the documents are filled out and numbered with corresponding numbers on the boxes. Five boxes in all.
The last thing I did this evening was make 5 copies of the whistle tutorial CD and make 5 copies of the instructional booklet to go along with the 5 pennywhistles rugerman sent me to include in the box.
Except for sealing up that last box and doing the customs documentation for it...I'm done.
Whew.
Good night all. I'll mail the boxes out tomorrow.
