Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Your axe has lost its edge! Well, since Vim is AWOL, g'nad is otherwise occupied and libarian is still too new to have shown his true dwarf nature (although I suspect it won't be long now), I am just being a little reserved...

Well, I am signing up for traffic school for a ticket I got in the Keys last December. Apparently you can now take the course online, which is cool.
Strangely, there is one school called the Improv Comedy Traffic School, I am thinking I will sign up for that one, since this is a non humorous subject.

Was he two-timing for extra food and attention? I think so. He was awfully friendly when he showed up at our door. Maybe a year old. He had fleas and tapeworm and my sister took him to the vet and got him fixed (poor kitty) so he's officially hers. Anyway, he discovered the neighbor dog's pet door and just made himself at home next door.
The neighbor said he was their "angel cat" come to comfort them when their dog died and they still keep a spot for him on the screen porch.

I took the class a few years back, I did not take the Improv one because when I saw the advertisement, I thought it was a joke.
Their class had the classroom next to ours.
They laughed and whooped it up the entire time, while we suffered in mind-numbed silence as a Junior High School Phys Ed teacher read from the course booklet.

I took one of these courses about 10 years back, at the time they were taught by policemen, in this case a policewoman. The main thing I remember about the class was her telling us that, in a fight, the first thing she did was grab the perp by the hair, before hitting him with a stick, or whatever.
