Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Are you dealing with a pic you are going to load? - or one that is on an existing server?
If you want to just resize how big it displays, right click the pic, view "properties" and divide the height and width by the amount you want to shrink it. (hint.... to cheat if you fear distorting it by not getting the proportions correct, you can enter just a height parameter, OR just a width parameter in the img tag.)
The html looks like this:
< img src="URL" height=400 width=600 > the numbers are the pixels.
That will not change the size of the *file* everyone has to download, but it will help how they display if it would look better smaller.
If you want to change the size of the file, re-size it in Photoshop or Paint or whatever software you use, and load it yourself.
Or load it to York. York will shrink it down to their standard size no matter how big it was.

I suppose those are dirt roads, Rosie?Yep! Very much so...and they're EVIL in the spring...
The paved roads are pretty bad right now too, though. Lots and lots of frost heaves, and the lines are pretty worn out from all the salt and sand over the course of the winter. They usually repaint everything in May or so.

Not a bad idea! - Search them for the keys first... Can't make it too easy for them to change their minds. Make 'em say "Please"?Better than that, put a police padlock on the chain, just so they don't leave the scene. Then wrap them up with yellow "crime scene" tape, and wait a couple of days.
