Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

There's something to be said for peace through superior firepower. I'm hooked on the Briton's longbows. The neighbors don't even get close to my walls. :)

So there's at least for of us who are playing this game......I wonder what we'd have to do to get a game up between the four of us.
I'll check out the manual when I get home.

It was a short distance to the oven...That's true, you are natural-born sprinters.

I wonder what we'd have to do to get a game up between the four of us.Shouldn't be hard. Just have to do the IP connection thing. Whoever started the game would need to give everyone else their IP address, and if all went well we'd all get connected up pretty easily. I've only done it with my brother, though...never done more than two way.

I don't blame him...it was for 20000 after all!
I was very tempted to spam myself! Although I didn't!! ;-)

I was poking around and I guess you can have multiplayer games at places like MS's The Zone.
I'm looking there now and all you need is a ".Net Passport" ID. You can get one here.
The all you do is get into one of the AOEII rooms, have the CD in your drive, and join the hosts table. The host launches the game, and off you go.
If anyone wants to do this, why don't we pick a time and date. I think Bear is the only one in a different timezone, other than that we shouldn't have too much difficulty.
Anybody game?

I don't got the CD. Like I said, when we upgrade, maybe we'll purchase it and join in the fray.

I'm game, but my evening schedules are crazy. Will have to play by ear.
To: Lil'freeper
Will have to play by ear. Is that painful?
To: Corin Stormhands
Musically, I'm quite good at it. But getting the earlobe near the trackpad on the laptop gets interesting...

There are so many things I could say... Thanks for not saying them... :)
To: Lil'freeper
I was afraid Hair would show up with her stick!
To: ksen; Lil'freeper; RosieCotton
I'm willing to check it out and give it a try, but I'm not sure yet what my schedule will be over the next couple of days.
In Central Time Zone here.
