Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Whenever you guys get your hands on the VeggieTales Jonah DVD make sure you listen to the audio commentary by Larry and Mr. Lunt.

Good Morning, ksen!

Good morning...trying to catch up. I've been pretty busy. Got three "gigs" to prepare for, plus work's been keeping me pretty occupied. Did I miss anything important? ;-)
To: Lil'freeper
We did just the opposite. I liked Notes just fine, but apparantly it was a little heavy on the servers. Outlook is just so 'hackable' when it comes to spam email. The first day it was up and running, I had three offers for cheaper insurance or a mortgage. Craaaaaazy.Hm...I hate to say it, but sounds like coincindence to me. We have Outlook here, and I've not seen any spam at all, period. I got more where I worked before, but I think that was just because I HAD used that address when ordering equipment and to sign up for some support sites...I don't think anyone is above selling addresses these days.
Microsoft may have its bad points, but it's not pure evil, ya know.

Larry and Mr. Lunt doing commentary sounds like a hoot!

Hello, EternalHope, and welcome to the Hobbit Hole! We're a pretty easy going bunch...so long as you don't start a discussion on the true nature of lembas...

Good Morning! I've been wondering where you were. Paying gigs I hope?
We have to build on to the Hole...we have EternalHope joining us. Michelle returned! Yay!
To: Lil'freeper
Her "new" addy doesn't work. All of her mail has been going to a gal of the same first name who has been deleting it without letting our person know about it! So we're starting an 'official' spam campaign. :) Official messages only- projects, questions, querying possible meeting times, etc. Muahahahaaa.Have you contacted your administrator? Chances are, the poor gal who's getting all your friend's e-mail doesn't have a clue why...so she's just deleting it. Spamming her is just going to leave her even more confused! Admittedly SHE should also know to try to get help, but...
To: RosieCotton; EternalHope
It's a thin cake.

Good Morning! I've been wondering where you were. Paying gigs I hope? One is the church dinner, which is not really paid but it IS in trade for letting us use the classroom we've been using for our Monday night sessions. The second is a benefit concert, so that's not paying. The third is a lunchtime St. Patrick's Day concert here at the college, which I THOUGHT wasn't a paid thing, but I found out it is! Not much ($25 or so, I think), but that's not at all bad considering I wasn't expecting anything! My first paid gig!
To: RosieCotton
Whee! A paid gig!
To: Overtaxed
Whee! A paid gig! Without a tin cup, even!
It will ALMOST cover the cost of the latest book 'o tunes I purchased...sigh! I'll never catch up, I'm afraid...
To: RosieCotton
My first paid gig! WHOA!!! THIS IS TIME FOR A HOBBIT HOLE CELEBRATION!!!!! Hooray for Rosie!!!
Hair will put up some partying smileys when she gets up. I have my west coast mute on today so I won't wake her like I did yesterday. shhhhhh
And a hearty good morning to one and all.

Blue Moot......you left me mooting alone... Now now.... Don't be blue moot! - You have that dwarf-moot coming up!
To: Lil'freeper
Outlook is just so 'hackable' when it comes to spam email. The first day it was up and running, I had three offers for cheaper insurance or a mortgage. Craaaaaazy. Outlook does not cause SPAM. Spam comes to your email address no matter what you use to view it!
Hullo! - Good morning!
To: HairOfTheDog; Wneighbor
Well...we don't actually have a time and date for the drunk dwarf moot.
Good Morning! How are the ponies? Did you see the thread about the Canadian who called 911 (or the equivalent) to rescue him from his own cat? BWAHAHAHAHA!
To: HairOfTheDog
Hello Good morning. I know it wasn't me that woke you today. I muted for you.
I bet you could smell breakfast cooking and THAT got you up.

Morning OT!
There's been a couple times that when I flip by one of the ESPN channels that a Duke or UNC game is on. Isn't Duke a NC school? If it is, who did you root for the other day when they were playing each other?
