The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Truthfully, my absolute favorite morning hot beverage is mate. Except sometimes it's hard to get what's good. I like Celestial Seasonings Morning Thunder. It is a good source of mate. Not 100% though. There are people who think and say questionable things about the stuff though.

Kona is good stuff. I am fondest of Kenya AA. Fond ? more like fanatic. I have trouble finding it these days.

Never heard of mate. What is mate?
Morning all. We finally had a decent snowfall and I got to use my snowblower for the first time this winter. Beautiful thick wet snow clinging to all the tree branches. Truly a winter wonderland.... I love it and hope we have at least 6 more weeks ;^)
Minnesota Minimoot plans are just about final for this Saturday (just waiting for ecurbh to confirm). Applebees will be our luncheon Derndingle (sp?) followed by, what else?......da movie.... My wife and son will come, along with DT and ecurbh. My fingers are crossed so hard they hurt.

I don't think I've tried that one. But, now I will be on the lookout. I think I like trying new things more than I really like settling on one. It's the adventure. If you can't travel... then just coffee and tea all over the world.
oh yeah, food fits nicely in here too.

All right Vim! I hope your mini(soda)-moot goes as well as our Miami-moot did.
Hey! you MN lurkers! Get on the horn with Vim and get yerself's to Applebees this Saturday! ;^)

Minnesota Minimoot plans are just about final for this Saturday THIS is exciting!
Mate. South American in origin. Related to the plant that an illicit powder much imported comes from. Very high caffeine content. Strong flavor. Not like tea or coffee. Not flowery or fragrant like lots of herb teas. More like an invigorating stiff flavor AND effect. Much like coffee but a very different taste.

errrr... nuthin....
stormclouds on the horizon
whispers of conflict yet to be
when will a clear dawn come?
not before the hounds are losed
and blood stains the ground
when the cries of the widows fade
and the tears of the orphans dry

I'd mail ya'll mine but they have to be used in the Ft. Worth/Dallas area.

OK, now I'M having a
C&F tiff. 2J is a bad influence! ;-) Guess I better watch my mouf, though...I'm sure there are people there who...well...would like to claim Frodo and Sam for their own, if you know what I mean.
To: g'nad
as usual. EXCELLENT.
To: Corin Stormhands
what can I say?... It was just layin' there in the road...
To: rightwingreligiousfanatic; JameRetief; Wneighbor
Vim, how exciting!! The only person I can moot with within a decent distance is Jame. Now Jame is nice fella and all...but I don't think my husband would really like it if I went to a dinner and movie with another guy! LOL
;-)
I'm hoping that WNeighbor and I can meet sometime...maybe on the way to The Moot?

My neices and daughter have taken up a new hobby of archery. And, I have taught it to cub scouts enough years to know all about forearm bruising and finger cuts, but not much more. Just the basics you would teach to 9 yr olds. That was a very interesting article.

Pray tell, dear lady, what did you find?
