Dude, Check out this...
Title: Swallowing air (USnews & World Report)
Author(s): David Lagesse
Issue Date: AUGUST 26, 2002 - SEPTEMBER 2, 2002
Words in article: 736
Lead Paragraph: Maybe crystals do strengthen your aura. Maybe magnets do cure lower back pain. Giving up food and water forever, though, is just silly. And deadly. Other than that, breatharianism, the practice of living off air and light alone, has some unbelievable benefits. After a week without food or water, Steve Torrence claims he broke through to the extraordinary energy and strength described by the breatharians. The 37-year-old Florida musician says he and his wife are into their fourth food-free year...
It goes on to tell about them getting busted sneaking out for McD's and then claiming burgers counteract the negative effects of power lines... you can't make this sh!t up :)

Only in a place like India could you make a living staring at the sun. More of 'em should take it up.

Actually I think Springsteen wrote it, but Manfred Mann made it sound good.

Dimbeswar BasumataryI'd bet his nickname is "Dimbulb." Get a job, Dimbulb.
To: Don W
Springsteen wrote the song, Manfred Mann covered it.
To: Bob Quixote
I stand (well, sit, actually) corrected. Thanks for the accurate info.

It all started by chance when I realized I could stare at the sun without any irritation to my eyes although my family thought I was crazy, Basumatary told IANS. I love watching the bright sun as it journeys across the sky.

Ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
I, personally, have stared at the moon on occasion.
This is a safe practice, unless you have an urge to bay or howl.
Then, I'd worry.
In the meantime, eat something!
