ARE WE REALLY AT WAR OR IS THIS REALLY ABOUT CONTROL?

Are we at War or is this whole process really more about taking away our rights? There is ample evidence that is is really the latter. First if this was really about war and you respected the Constitutional Republic that we are supposed to be then the following would have occurred on September 12, 2001.

1. The Congress that day would have officially declared war against Al-Qaeda. This could have been done because it is a definitive organization even if it doesn't occupy just one country.

2. The Borders would have been sealed. This is blaringly not being done as an open invitation to the cells to just come ahead and do their worst.

3. You arm the pilots so you don't have to violate peoples fourth amendment rights regarding searches. This has been done very slowly and at a speed that defies logic unless it is control of the people you are trying to establish.

We have lost our free country due to the attacks of Al-Qaeda and the thirst for power by the elite both Republican and Democrat.

What I pointed out should have been done doesn't take a genius to come up with. It is the proper Constitutional reaction to being attacked. It was not done I contend because this is more about ending our Constitutional Republic and putting it under the control of the Nonelected Elitist Communists of the United Nations.

The first bit of evidence for this is that the President and Congress made the TSA impervious to being sued for any of their conduct. Due to this we have had such abuses as a nursing mother being made to drink her own breast milk in order to complete her flight that day. This is a free country???

The next bit is when a woman was pulled down from the plane onto the tarmac because her luggage x-ray showed a marital aid in it and she was made to hold up the object up so all the passengers on that side of the plane could see it. We have gone so far that these people aren't afraid to humiliate people because they know they can violate anyones rights and get away with it. You still maintaining we live in a free country?

Reread the fourth amendment. It doesn't say only while you are in your home. That is to apply wherever you are in this country. It is a limitation on government. Who is mandating these illegal searches. The Government!!! They are breaking the law here, not the people.

A federal judge has ruled that the right to bear arms is not an individual right even though it is listed specifically as a right of the people, not the Government, to bear arms. "The people" was never used to refer to the government. The government was referred to by branch as to limitation. This judge has not been referred for impeachment even though he has violated his oath of office by leading this attack on the Constitution. Although it doesn't suprise me because Spent Lott is still in office after arranging a Kangaroo Kourt for Sick Willie.

Gore goes to Communist China for a fundraiser and it causes a Controversy???? and not immediate arrest for treason??? Or for crying out loud at least campaign violations resulting in prison time!!!

The elite have figured out that the American People are now just settlers. If you tell them that this is the least of two evils and that is the best they can get then they will settle for it and the next time you tell them the best they can get is just another step to the left. This shell game will forever keep even the malcontents in control because by the time they refuse to settle, the force to take their guns away will be insurmnontable and can be done under, even though it violates the constitution, its the law! They don't want to be lawbreakers so they will completely give away their freedom.

This is coming sooner than you think.

An observation and I know on this site there will be a tendency to flame away or ignore it. I would instead like to see honest debate of what I have brought up here

Actually, "this whole process" is about making paranoid people write rants about "taking away our rights" every three months or so.

It's like clockwork. It must be a government conspiracy.

Yeap, you got it. 9/11 never actually happened. Actually, the WTC never even existed... it was all a big lie so they could stage its destruction. Now you know how long ago this conspiracy was hatched...

The conspiracy here, is how a certain group of posters always jumps to the defense of the government. And ends up posting right near the top of any anti-government threads...

A search on yourself for example...

Readers should catalog those that do this repeatedly, and ignore their posts.

They don't have to do this, everyone is too content to be stripped of their rights without doing that. They are blatant enough with the abuses mentioned above or do you think all that is "innocent"?

I agree, and it's inordinately clear who they are.

Many do. Most don't.

"Anti-government threads" usually aren't worth reading.

But, hey, it's a slow night.

I can't remember the dates, but I remember that Bush tried to get the Taliban to turn over Al-Qaeda or Bin Laden, treating this as a criminal matter first.

Later Congress did authorize the use of force against those responsible. Supposedly that gave the President the constitutional authority he needed to go after Al-Qaeda.

Perhaps he didn't even need that under the "War Powers Act". 60 days...

This is NOT what I am saying but why does everyone so blithly accept inaction on critical areas such as I have enumerated. Our borders are still a sieve as pointed out by the likes of Michelle Malkin. She is a sharp lady but why aren't you in the process of bringing up her point to your congressman as an obvious gaping whole in the defense of America??? I have and what I get is a collective shrug? They don't want to seal the border. What would you propose as the reason they refuse to seal the border???

You are s-o-o-o naive. Why, even the President says that we need to leave the borders open so these people can come here and do the jobs that Americans won't do. Just a few steal, murder, and rape. With the new data base that will be formed with the Homeland Defense Department, we will send border patrol with lap-tops to collect data on illegals that they do not see coming across the border.

In this way we will keep tabs on the real terrorists that Saddam Hussein is sending to the United States with WMD's to keep the UN inspectors from finding them in Iraq. Does this sound strange? Have you not heard of virtual unreality that is the latest craze in the techie world of Washington?

We really are at war. The powerful in Washington recognize that Islamic terrorism is now in a position to destroy the house of cards that the politicians and the bankers have allowed to be built and are desperately attempting to construct a domestic police apparatus for dealing with the violent chaos to come. The War on Terror is as much about preparing for urban conflict in our cities as it is about throttling foreign training camps and the countries that host or support them. I don't think it's so much sinister on the part of the Bush Administration as it is unavoidable. The impending unravelling of the markets and all the anguish that Americans must suffer will leave us prone to accept here-to-fore unthinkable government repression in the name of security. The linchpin of the past--a strong economy--is about to be pulled by the collapse of the banking system, and our enemies are rubbing their hands in anticipation.
