Extended is only on DVD right?

No, the extended version is available in VHS, but you only get the movie itself. None of the DVD special features are included.

David Poland has seen The Two Towers. He calls it "a great film by a great filmmaker", but he is unsure of it's Oscar chances because he has yet to see Gangs of New York. He goes on to say that "If Gangs falls to the side, Rings may overwhelm the room. "

Anne Thompson from The New York Metro also seems to have seen the movie, and she loved it. "New Line's The Two Towers has mass appeal and gorgeous grand-scale filmmaking. The performances are stronger than the original's, especially those of Viggo Mortensen and the computer-enhanced Andy Serkis."

Nick Nunziata, of Chud, has also made some comments:
"The few people I know who have seen The Two Towers have gushed about it like proud parents, and the good thing is that even through some of them are affiliated with the film in some way, I trust their opinions.
