It was sheer instinct, but glad to know that I can trust my instinct at times like those.

Amen. I've been involved in a few myself. I can't claim bravery, because I wasn't scared or even thinking. I just knew what was right, and I couldn't do anything else.

I attribute it to having a set of moral and ethical absolutes that we weigh the world against. When it's wrong, we are compelled to act.

I, for one, am grateful for men like you.

I hope I didn't miss anyone. I've been back from dinner for a little while. Yummy buffet, and it was a bit different from the run-of-the-mill Las Vegas buffets. They had a Middle Eastern station, which had some sticky sweets, stuffed grape leaves, some rice with different spices and nuts and raisins, tandori meats (chicken and lamb), shishkabobs, tahini, falafel, etc. It was quite good. Plus the standard prime rib, potatoes, etc, with a seafood bar, an Italian food station, a Mexican food station, soup, salad, and a pretty good dessert bar. After dinner a few of us (women) wandered through the Desert Passage, which is a fancy name for a mall. Lots of pricy stores, I had fun window-shopping. Came home, did a bit of preparation for tomorrow. Now I am going to watch Dateline on ABC, they are doing a story on the McCaughey septuplets.
