I personally know nothing first hand about Potter, but all the comparisons between it and LoTR make me not like it.

I am a lifelong Red Sox fan. As a Red Sox fan I have a visceral dislike for the NY Yankees. I am starting to feel the same way about Potter.

We were watching FoTR at the dollar theatre one night and a dad came in a little late and sat down with his wife and kids. One of the little kids said to him, "Dad, they copied Harry Potter!" I wanted to scream at the kid.

It's actually kind of scarey. ;^)

Corin, Jr. had the appropriate reaction to FOTR. He said, "This is better than Potter. I want to read the books!"

He made me so proud...(sniff)...
