I'm wondering what your all-time tinfoil or Art Bell-like thread in FR has been. You know, the five thousand words paragraphs, single spaced, no capitals, screed by those expecting the end of the world, the take over of the world by the Illuminati, or the return of Walter Mondale...wait, that may actually happen.
FreeRepublic has been a source of news and commentary, but it also provides information on some of the most unusual topics out there.

Rense could probably be labeled a government hater,a libertarian. His site does have some interesting links however. Not everyone will agree on politics, even conservatives disagree with one another as to what degree one should be conservative.

If you ever have your bowels shut down on ya you will understand.
LOL I went from eating anything I pleased to two scoops of raisons in my bran cereal twice a day like it or not.
A week in the hosp. puking and on Iv twice this year I am obsessive about my bowels and their sounds.
My advice eat all the crappy foods while you still can and enjoy!

Sometimes I travel (drive) while Art Bell is on so I am entertained.
THe one storyline that used to scare me was his exorcist stuff. And the Fr. that was his friend that passed away a couple of years ago.

Even simpler is
Spirograph - get a coupla pieces of plastic, ball point pen, and a sheet of paper, and you two can make extremely complex mathematical designs - even in the dark!

It seems to me that a HUGE percentage of the tin-foil hat detractors are SOOOOOOOOOOOO VISCERALLY EMOTIONALLY HOSTILE, soooooooo emotionally wound up before the discussion begins . . . that the whole idea that THEY think and their opponents don't is proven silly before any chance of "discussion" begins.
As a shrink, it's still a bit of a puzzle to me. Why are they so threatened by something they've preconceived as false? Very fascinating.
I'm reading STEVEN M GREER's DISCLOSURE "Pre-Publication Rush Edition." I've long ago accepted a whole range of stuff in that ball park as true. But I also am certain that specifically what is true vs disinformation is so far extremely hard to ferret out. Consequently, I still put a huge percentage of it on the shelf and wait to see what God confirms.
But this volume has a long list--perhaps all 400--I haven't checked--of very high ranking (in a great number of cases) and very convincing folk who have tangible evidence of a whole armory of smoking guns. But the ridicule factor and the threat to even families of potential bean spillers has been very effective--as have the disappearances--very thorough "erasures" of people deemed security risks.
It would boggle my mind for ANY FAIR-MINDED individual to read the whole thing and still scream outrageously "TIN-FOIL HAT." However, it seems hereon that there are some so hostile to anything they can't touch, taste, see first hand and no, doubt FEEL, I suspect if a UFO came and carted them off to a distant planet in a distant galaxy, they'd STILL scream tin-foil hat and construe it that they were in some sort of terminal dream state.
Ah well. Life has become soooo complex, lots of people have to make strange accommodations to keep a death grip on whatever level of sanity they can. I can understand that. God have mercy on us all in the coming months and years.
Seems to me, the only way to insure any kind of authentic sanity is to walk hand in hand and heart in heart with the one who created our minds, souls, spirits, and all the rest of us.

Hi, guy! Don't forget these masterpieces:
Is this a message from aliens?
Or:
Is there a hidden message here?
And for the easily amused, here's an 800 post thread on crop circles that coincided with the release of the movie "Signs": Mysterious Suburban Chicago Crop Circles
To: per loin
"When camping in the dark woods, some kids like staying up late telling ghost stories. Art Bell expands that campfire circle. Not usually enjoyed by those who only admit the daylight half of their nature, but entertaining for many of those who do."By the way, this was dead on.
One of the few benies of having to go out late at night to get milk for the kids, is getting to listen to Art for a few minutes.
I always take the longest way there and back.

I suppose throwing sharp rocks at someone so liberally can FEEL good for a short while.
But it still has the flavor of a 2 year old writhing on the floor screaming diatribes at a sibling perceived to have had a thimble full more of ice scream than the 2 year old got.
It doesn't exactly have the flavor of reason, sanity or civility dripping from each word.
