Astronomy Fun Fact:The Leonid meteor shower occurs around mid-November each year. It is a result of dust grains from Comet Temple-Tuttle. Earth intersects the comet's orbital path at this time each year. In 2002, Earth will travel through the dust ejected in 1767 (visible from Europe) and 1866 (visible from the Americas). Be ready for a possible meteor storm on November 19th in the early AM.
