Man in court for taking beer keg for a walk
A Canadian man has appeared in court after being spotted taking a beer keg for a walk.
Chynne Harley Kahnapace, 26, pleaded guilty to breaking the conditions of his parole after being caught pushing a baby stroller with a small keg of beer in it down the street.
There was no suggestion that the alcohol was stolen and according to the Regina Leader Post , Kahnapace said it belonged to a friend.
"Were you just taking it out for a walk?" asked provincial court Judge Dennis Fenwick.
The judge reminded Kahnapace that a probation order from an earlier charge prohibited him from possessing alcohol.
Kahnapace said: "I was hanging around with these people and they said they needed a hand."
The judge fined him $150 (£61.63).
Must be a "Canadian thing!"
