Blocks of time are allocated on news shows according to letter. The first chunk of the hour is "A," the second, "B," etc. The last chunk, accordingly, is "G."
This threw me for a loop for months, and then someone on FR who worked in TV explained it to me.
Did you hear the lastest on the DC sniper? He did his dirty deed in "9" days with "11" victims. "9-11" some pointy headed types think they guy is done, and was Al Queda. What do you think?
