In my father's family most everyone has dark hair, fair skin and blue eyes (mother's family were blondes). One of my aunts had that same coloring. She married a guy with brown hair and blue eyes, and 3 out of 4 of their children were carrot-top redheads! There is a recessive gene in that family for red hair. She and my Dad have a first cousin who is a carrot-top red-head, complete with freckles and all. Neither of his parents had red hair. It is interesting how that works!
However, so many people with fair coloring just aren't having children anymore. Out of my father's 6 children, there is only one grandchild. The youngest is 25 and single, so there is hope for her! The others didn't and don't want children.
Sounds like the Farkle family. Maybe you should talk to Ferd Berfel!
