LOL, never thought about it, but you could be right. Seriously, I don't understand the disdain for OReiilly among a large portion of FReepers here. I agree with alot of his views. Yes, he has a head the size of Texas and tends to cut people off just a tad bit much, but he isn't afraid speak up when noone else does and always makes for an entertaining show.
It's because a large portion of FReepers are very into "purity tests." O'Reilly is not a "conservative" by the standards of many FReepers. He espouses too many "liberal" views, or he's a "statist" or whatever.
I myself don't agree with him on some things, but I find his arguments always stimulating, and when he gets hold of an issue, unlike most of his softball contemporaries, he doesn't let go and he doesn't care what the p.c. spin would dictate.
His continual treatment of Jesse Jackson's empire of fraud is a great example.
O'Reilly is the only one on TV I've seen take on Rev. Jesse J. As a Catholic, he has spoken out against pedophile priests. He has shown outrage at the horrible murder of little Danielle and how Feldman lied to try to get this dangerous pervert off.
I don't agree 100% with him -- there is no one I agee 100% with and that includes my husband. Of course, O'Reilly is effective and a number of those positing here are on the weird left. A while back a Chris something went ballistic every time someone even implied anything negative about Chelsea. Then there were those raving how wonderful strippers are.
