Freeper Messes Up Pretty Badly...

My fellow Freepers, I've messed up pretty badly here...

First, I'm already quite well in the doghouse with my wife (who phoned me this evening after going away with the kids yesterday for a couple of days) for spending so much time freeping and not getting anywhere near enough done on certain other things... you know how it is... :-/

NOW, in the middle of the late-night Florida election thing with McBride vs. Reno, I suddenly realize:

I haven't seen the cat.

The cat. Omigod, the cat. The cat I was supposed to feed last night, and twice today. The nicest cat you would ever care to meet. Beloved pet of our children.

The cat, unfed, neglected, has wandered away. All because I forgot to feed her. Forgot I was even supposed to feed her. We're in a new neighborhood, she's never been left unfed before, and I have no idea whether she will come back or whether she's headed for parts unknown.

OK, laugh at me. But would you also pray that the cat would come back, quick? The wife and kids are returning tomorrow afternoon.

This is a definite prayer request.

Man, have I messed up. :-/

You could also just try to replace kitty with one that looks just like it, like Greg Focher did with Jinksie in Meet The Parents, even if it means using touch up paint or spray paint.

If I was were your wife..you'd be better off just hanging yourself NOW off the tree in the back. :)

Seriously....I am sure the cat will come back if you keep calling it.....well....I mean if your WIFE calls it. I am sure the cat doesn't want to hear your voice and will know that you won't have any food for it anyway. >^..^<

SHE has to keep CALLING it.

My neighbor's American Shorthair -- the most civilized cat I have ever seen -- always shows up at our door when his wife is away or when their grandkids are over. Cats do have their preferences -- even though my neighbor loves his cat, and I'm no cat person in any way shape or fashion.

God does answer prayer. In this case he answered it, "Meow!"

Mot's right. Get a moose. They're easier to find.

I've been thinking about this... but it wouldn't fit into our existing pet carrier. Plus, we already have the cat, so we'd only wind up with a moose plus a cat.

Prolly just as well. Møøse have terrible cheeze breath, and are prone to bite your sister...

Tell you what.

For twenty bucks a piece, we won't tell the wife what happened.

OPH - can you draw up a contract for John??

Even thought the cat is back, roses or a bouquet of flowers would look good on the table when your wife comes home.

Don't feel too bad. I spent ten straight hours FReepin', then realized I'd left the baby in the car. Outside in the driveway. Temperature about 98 degrees.

BWAHAHAAAAAAA... You should be put to death by hangin', dude...

Now put kitty in the freezer until an hour or so before the missus gets home. She can't wander off and it'll be good for her coat.

Kidding, kidding ...

Seriously, congrats!

Sorry the cat came back. Try taking it further away next time and get a dog. Dogs are good company, bite burglars, fetch the cows and both point and retrieve birds. Cats are just weird!
