In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

When was the last time the WFTD thread hit 600.

Why yes...it does. I defer to your greatness, and thank you for your kind offer.
Are we the only ones? Seems everyone is drinking Tequila and giving eachother backrubs.
I was about to make them aware that "I like cheese."
BTW, although not being a great fan of the .30 Carb. round...the delivery system has always been a family favorite...and am grateful to God for not providing my O.S.S. Dad a boar to blind with one in Frankfurt am Main in '52...but it WAS the first choice of my friend's granddad to finance and arm the anti-Castro patriots, and in my presence did a good job on a fire door when my employer's Bushmaster let loose at the "firearms supermarket' we worked at, and were responding to an alarm.
Oh...about liberated Germany...that day, at dawn...his companion woke the neighborhood by spinning a weathervane...from the boat...with a short, accurate....bananna-clip...as we called them...burst.
Love the .30 diameter, though. Also a very comfy feeling, digging one's hand into a shoebox full of 'em.
Still HATE the "lead squirting out the bottom" bullets...but hey...it always works...a lot...and have historically found jams easy to clear.
The nicest carbine I ever foolishly sold to a customer...and didn't take home myself....was an Erma...deep blued, and with visible German pride in manufacturing. So, my friend and colleague...assume your position under the Spotlight of Honor. It is a priviledge to be associated with you.
AMT made a pistol in your caliber...a LONG slide. Balanced really well.

Had to be last summer, when Miss Annie ran the Summer Camp! We had a real BLAST! on the last day. None of us who attended will ever forget! (Someone, like Cyber, likely has that thread bookmarked.)
Of course the thread on which I am the Student of Honor would reach 600+.
Signed, Numero Uno.

Profanity was heard in the apartment after Cleveland gave away their games, and taunting galore was heard when the Cowboys lost to the new Texans! HAH! lol

Oh...about liberated Germany...that day, at dawn...his companion woke the neighborhood by spinning a weathervane...from the boat...with a short, accurate....bananna-clip...as we called them...burst. I haven't tried weathervanes yet! These are great stories, PoorMuttly! (We'll have to shorten your nickname if you're gonna hang out here with us! You can call me .30 or 3C if you like. I am feeling magnanimous in my glory as Numero Uno.)
Signed, Numero Uno.
(Okay, I promise, that's the last time I'll do that!)

Hey, Stranger! How goes the recent getting-to-know-you-and-take-over-your-establishment battle?
To: PoorMuttly
It is a priviledge to be associated with you. Ah, no, PoorMuttly, the priviledge is all mine. Keep the stories coming!
To: .30Carbine
Too busy to converse. I must continue to spam our fellow interlocutors, until they join us...probably for revenge.
PS...Mutt will do!

Why did the moderator pull a reply??
To: PoorMuttly
Most resort to PM.
To: PoorMuttly
Obviously, his very existence is now known to F.R., which is an outstanding endorsement. He only reveals himself to those he respects, and endorsesLifted this from your homepage, new friend. Okay, now I feel REALLY blessed! ( :
To: .30Carbine
LOL. So so. What I could have done with $100 and a trip to The Container Store. ;-)
To: .30Carbine
Ha !
Thank you. I FEEL welcomed, too. Now who do we visit next ?!
Word of the Day has become our new cheesemoose.
To: RikaStrom

To: .30Carbine

I highly recommend
A Few of FR's Finest. Billie and JohnHuang2 are doing a special this week, asking for stories of where we all were on 9-11-01. I will be composing mine shortly...if Tiger doesn't get home first! This theme will be running on the Finest thread all week, and I would love for WFTDers to write up their personal remembrances...and make sure you ping me!
To: Argh
You are soooo goood! Going there now, to follow up your investigation, Sir!
