In a Clintonesque way, President Bush is beginning to cleave the American public into two uneasy halves--opponents fulminating at his attempts to bamboozle, and supporters chuckling at his vanity.

I don't know that I agree, but it is really funny to see Daschle frustrated, especailly knowing that he's going to lose the Senate thanks to the voters of his home state. Go Thune Go.

Being two time zones ahead of South Dakota, NJ will get the first shot.

This will only serve to make Thune's win even more bitter for Tom Douchel. Now he will have to coax 2+ Republicans to defect simultaneously. A much harder task.
