In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

probity\'prO-b&-tE \, n:
1.adherence to the highest principles and ideals
2.Complete and confirmed integrity
“He was a gentlemanly Georgian, a person of early American probity” (Mary McGrory).

Etymology:Middle English probite, from Old French, from Latin probitas, from probus, upright, good. See per1 in Indo-European Roots.

Usage:Usage: Probity denotes unimpeachable honesty and virtue, shown especially by the performance of those obligations, called imperfect, which the laws of the state do not reach, and can not enforce. Integrity denotes a whole-hearted honesty, and especially that which excludes all injustice that might favor one's self. It has a peculiar reference to uprightness in mutual dealings, transfer of property, and the execution of trusts for others.

Good Morning, class. Today ,you may use probity or it's opposite, improbity.

Further proof that she is also Sapphically Inclined. Giving up NHL players for that girlie boy.

No doubt that Enrique often asks himself "What would Brian Boytano do?"

http://www.washtimes.com/national/20020906-489512.htm

"Sen. Dianne Feinstein, California Democrat and a member
of the intelligence panel, said there is "no evidence" that Iraq
has nuclear weapons. She said an attack on Baghdad could
provoke an invasion of Israel.
"There is some troubling evidence today of the
preparation of a second front in southern Lebanon to attack
Israel in the event we attack Iraq," Mrs. Feinstein said.
"[American] Ambassador Dennis Ross recently told me of
thousands — he mentioned 10,000 — extended-range
Katyusha rockets that have been moved through Syria from
Iran and into southern Lebanon for an attack on Israel."

So since the threat is now bigger
We should then be more the niggard?
The country's probity
Could now possibly
Be ruined by the daft left wigger.

What I mean is, the rest of the broads at the VMA dress like they have to be half naked to stand out (not that theres anything wrong with that mind you), so none really do...I mean no matter how trampy JBLo tries to look, shes still an average looking woman dressed trampy...

He must have like, an eight inch tongue, and the ability to breathe thru his ears...

Maybe he's like Stacy Brown:

STACY BROWN GOT TWO

Have you hard about Stacy Brown?
He got every chick in town.
He got looks, he got class...
Do anything to get a little lass.
And everybody shout at him as he walks his girlies past...

Everybody got one
Everybody got one
Everyboy got one
But Stacy Brown got two.

Do you know the reason for his success?
They say that he is double blessed
They say that Stacy Brown was born
Just a little bit deformed
But still his girlfriends wake up smilin' every morn.

Everybody got one
Everybody got one
Everyboy got one
But Stacy Brown got two

Why they climbing up the wall?
Young ones run and old ones crawl.
He got two and that's a fact,
But no one knows where the other one's at.
On his elbow, on his knee, or underneath his hat?

Everybody got one
Everybody got one
Everyboy got one
But Stacy Brown got two

Our President is a model of probity -- our previous president thought probity was something involving a cigar.

Now doubt the South Park writers were on some good drugs when they came up with that song.

As a sign of my outstanding probity, I am not only using the WFTD, I am providing an extra bonus word, courtesy of our always-surprising President. Me, I have never heard of this particular expression (that's what I get for living in California my whole life,) but I'm absolutely smitten with it.

And as for Mr. Caldwell...he brings to mind another Bush-inspired word--"Clymer."
