In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

i hate long car trips, but i have flown cross-country alone with multiple kids as well, and that is not a picnic when they are little. now flying is a breeze. The 11 hour flight to Hawaii last summer, xshub and i sat across the aisle from those 3 and we were able to pretend for a short while that we didn't know them....

NO!

Don't bother going "up" the arch ... All the fun exhibits are under the Arch in the Lweis and Clark Museum.

Gee wiz....Do I gotta tell ya everything?

Tell him to get to the train museum, and the other sites mentioned. Kids will LOVE the hands-on exploratorium and exhibits too. Indian mounds are a nice-to-go-to-once site, but not worth more than two-hours walking around.

Think the other three noticed the blankets across the aisle on the first two?

2 years ago we flew to San Fran - Jax was only 2 - unfortunatley there was no way I could claim I didn't know her!!!

But I'll take a flight like that before I do another drive from SF to southeast of LA ever again. In fact if I never have to be in a car anywhere near LA again I will be a very happy camper!!

Oh - A she, eh?

"She" would skip the Brewery, spend all day at the gardens around the brewery, would spend an hour at the train museum, but would probably spend four hours at the Indian Mounds then. Definitely would breeze through the Lewis & Clark museum, but would spend the rest of the day shopping downtown at the converted railway terminal boutiques....

speaking of ludakris, did you see Bill O"reilly took on PepsiCo's having him as a spokesman and now he is credited as having gotten Ludakris fired by Pepsi.

Ah, another day, another instructress. (You can't tell the teachers without a scorecard!)

This is posted for the boys here, who will probably want to keep this story in mind next time they have to fly. Other airlines will no doubt be invidiously following this story--or perhaps they will merely wish to stay abreast of developments.

Ineffective, unfocused violence leads to more violence. Limp, panicky, half-measures lead to more violence. However, complete, fully-thought-through, professional, well-executed violence never leads to more violence because, you see, afterwards, the other guys are all dead.

That's right, dead. Not "on trial," not "reeducated," not "nurtured back into the bosom of love." Dead. D-E--Well, you get the idea.

My fave part!

He's Hilarious. Necessary Roughness is a retty bad movie, but his Murray Sperber based character makes it well worth watching....
