In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Good Morning All,

JoBurg meeting insidious,
The Green attacks were most vicious.
DU vision I guess.
It's best put to rest.
They all find US invidious.

The Greens continue to expose their hypocracy by failing to live the lifestyle they would condemn the rest of the world to.

Garde la Foi, mes amis! Nous nous sommes les sauveurs de la République! Maintenant et Toujours!
(Keep the Faith, my friends! We are the saviors of the Republic! Now and Forever!)

Iraq's position is not invidious
It's Arab neighbors issue US warnings
That league is quite insidious.

Arab League: Iraq Strike Would 'Open Gates of Hell'

Sounds to me like a rehash of the warnings about the "Brutal Afgahn Winter"(TM)

In their zealotry to control private property and the behavior of others, the anti smoker industry attempts to instill invidiousness within the governments of other locales by citing false statistics and exaggerated pictures of prosperity from areas being decimated because of anti-smoker induced smoking bans.

As New York fumes over a proposed smoking ban, local bar patrons reflect on nearly five years of butting out

Take me to the River"

The version from their second album or the later version from "Stop Making Sense"? I prefer most of their older work over the later more synthesizer driven work.... Talking Heads "77" & "More Songs about Buildings and Food" are two of my favorite albums of all time.
