Write down your VIN (vehicle identification number) and go to a modern auto parts store (like Autozone). Using that number (actually only one digit, but which?), they will tell you which engine you have. It is the only way to go.
Actually, using the vin, I can determine from my Haynes manual which engine I have. Perhaps you can too.
