I'm not sure it's that significant.
What I find significant is LE apparently decided not to release that Moul believed Ricci left the repair shop in a blue van. Now why in the world would they have not released that? Someone may well have seen someone with a blue van taking a post hole digger out of it in this time period or acting suspiciously in some other way. This person leaving Moul's with Ricci is the key witness they've repeatedly claimed they've been trying to find. Design or incompetence?
Arriving in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Thursday night and armed with a sense of purpose--and a list of 14 names--Chairman Dan Burton (R-IN) is leading a bipartisan delegation attempting to do something the State Department has stubbornly refused to do for nearly two decades: rescue kidnapped American children (some of whom are now young adults) trapped in the desert prison.
LE usually doesn't release case sensitive information to the public unless they need the publics help. Let's hope that they identified this person already and have him under surveillance. Maybe they know who it is, have found the van, but can't locate the individual. Maybe they hope this guy will show up at the funeral to make sure that Richard is really dead. Maybe it's just some incompetence on LE's part. Who knows at this point.
