There is no "lack of concern" for MK and the rest of the family. Based upon Jengaio's analysis of the recent Smart letter, they probably believe that ES is dead. The Smart's have always been more concerned about ES and the family's welfare, rather than a conviction and they have said so. What this family needs and they are trying to achieve is a return to normalcy.
