The most BIZARRE thing about this is that the press still hangs on every word Ed Smart says. What is it with these people?

Has anyone ever found out if the entire clan was polygraphed or was that halted when the community got upset over this?

Can you provide a source that says that the SLC community was upset over the polygraphs? As I remember, Tom and Ed Smart had polygraphs done, as did a few other members of the Smart family.

I'm not quite sure what tip you are referring to, but the police are not involved in the search anymore. The tips come into the Elizabeth search center, and the family decides where to search next. This weekend they are asking hunters to be on the lookout. And I'm sure the networks ratings have something to do with why they keep interviewing the Smarts. Face it, this is a true mystery, and it gets ratings. Otherwise, the networks and cable shows wouldn't give the Smarts the time of day.

And if I were in the Smarts shoes, I would do the same thing. If the media is going to come calling, then by darn, I'd keep Elizabeth's story in front of them. As far as caring for the thousands of other missing children, well, what else can the Smarts do? They are helping in the Amber alert becoming nationwide, because of Elizabeth's abduction (and I believe it brought high ratings to the TV networks), anyway, many missing childrens faces and names were on newscasts for many weeks, because of the heightened awareness other abductors of children were found this summer. And no, I am not giving the Smarts all the credit, but they are doing something. It is really hard to help the thousands, it is much more human to want to help the one who is lost that you know (metaphorically speaking.)

I want to say that I apologize with all my heart. I'd also like to explain three things that might keep my stupid message from being so hurtful:

1. I had suggested to Jolly what you might have meant about two meanings to "Hang 'em high," and then when you subsequently posted something else, my interpretation didn't make sense. That's the only reason I was saying anything behind your back about you. It's not like I'm busily trashing you in private posts.

(And I don't care if I accidentally post this to them.) Some of your posts tend toward this, I think, though. So I was saying, "Well, who knows what she means? Given some of her posts, she may be in that crackers group, for all I know. But I have not normally thought of you that way.

There's nothing more I can say about it; think I've hit it all: I'm stupid; didn't mean anything that bad; don't really think you're a moron at all. Please consider forgiving and forgetting.

varina...I do think now more than ever he believes its Ricci....I think he bases that mostly on the fact that he entered a house in the hood last year while the people were asleep and stole from them right then and there..

these kinds of drug addicts....they will do anything for a buck....and you get someone like Ricci who apparently does things with impunity ....

I feel that if the cops felt Ricci was the one...they should have squeezed him more....now, it may be too late....

I use to respect the Mormon Church, but now I have vey negative feelings towards the Church, if this is how the members act.

I'm not a Mormon, but I'm pretty clean cut too. I don't smoke, I don't chew, and I don't date girls that do.

He's so screwed up..another contradiction..they just keep on fabricating and pointing the finger..remember last nite 7PM show, Inside Edition...all those people who were willing to get their 5min of fame by pretending to be so concerned, Weaver, Smith, etc., were ALL guilty as the show said, they turn to the tv to reach for community support..Ed and Cindy have how many times been doing the same ole'...they can't even answer nor remember what they're saying, why should anyone believe them..Grunting noises..how would ed know this?? How would he know HOW Ricci grunts...ohhhh.....Tell me those homeowners stayed in bed while someone's in their bedroom, were they "expecting" company, this might be "quite" the neighborhood indeed!

Try to shame her all you want, Bella, but the simple fact is to all the thinking people on this thread with rational perspectives moron is the only explanation for how you people think. Believe me we are all of one accord on this belief, you haven't discovered someone's dark secret by intercepting a private email on the subject.
