"Does your name indicate any Cree Indian ancestry?"

No, my last name is Dutch, beginning with a "V," then a "C." Once some take out sushi I picked up at the local restaurant was labeled "Sam Cree," which was apparently how the owners, with an oriental language barrier, were pronouncing my name. It sort of rhymes, but isn't close any other way. I thought it was cute and have been using it for anonymity ever since. Sorry for the lengthy discourse.

I know many do have Indian ancestry, but not me. What part of the country are the Cree from, I'm not really up to speed on them?

The Cree originated in Canada. My wife is part Cree on her maternal grandfather's side.
