Really ? I remembered reading that there were two houses not searched. One was the empty home that was for sale and the other was Westerfields.

This is from one of the affadavits -

"During the initial check it was discovered that a neighbor residing at 11995 Mountain View Drive, identified as David Westerfield, was not home. Most all immediate neighbors were at home and contacted."

Most means not all.
