I'd even give a democrat governor a chance to "clean house" before I started hounding him, unless he was shown to be directly complicit in the corruption or mismanagement of one or more departments.

Before you completely blow a gasket, try obtaining information on so-called lost kids in comparable states.

I'll give you a heads up! They won't release the data....assuming they even have it. This is a bogus issue. A lost kid occurs each and every time a change of address form is NOT filled out.

Assuming they stay in the state, they pop up again when they re-apply for benifits. Those that donot usually have re-located elsewhere or no longer qulify for benfits or have changed their name to one of their numerous alias's.

All these burocracies in every state are packed full of liberal democrat incompetents who are protected by Civil Service Regulations. They are harder to get rid of than the Teachers Unions.
No governor has ever managed to get rid of either.
No governor can make real changes till he gets the leverage to can the whole department and start over.
A governor tries to get leverage by raising the level of outrage among the people till they are ready to demand drastic change and give him the power to do it.
