Hi JJ:

The necklace thing really bothers me. Brenda said "she never took it off" in "two years". Kids who are abuse often wear clothes/things to cover abuse marks. What really bothers me is the fact that Brenda didn't make her take it off, in two years, since she was five.

I've asked my self, would a five year old (kindergartener- 5-6 years) be (fashion consciously-'aware') to want that choker on 'all the time'. I don't think so. At that age they must be encouraged/influenced as to what is fashionable. I say her mother encouraged her to wear it, 'all the time'.
