Yes, those are possibilities, too. I just feel that she "went missing" long before the VD's admit to it. Otherwise, why would Daman have cautioned Brenda to be careful of what she said about the timeline? But even that doesn't make sense if the VD's didn't have something to do with it.

Oh, that's my theory, too - that she actually went missing in the afternoon, not that night. Just nobody noticed, 'cuz Mom was getting ready to go out and bring home some playmates and Dad was getting drunk and playing video games with the boys.
