About how long till those dead bodies started smelling bad - if you recall - I've been wondering about that - I'f he'd had her dead in the motorhome - would she have started to smell?

I believe one of the bug guys said it would smell within 3 days if in compartment, a dog would smell it much sooner and later IMO.

I never got close enough to any of the bodies to be able to smell anything. Most of them hadn't been there too awfully long.
I have an Indonesian friend and she told me she'd spent a lot of time in India & there were a lot more dead bodies lying on the streets there.

Decomposition starts at the time of death, most bodies start producing a faint odor within 12 hours or so due to the natural gases that build up in the corpse as putrification starts (in best case scenario, as in a mortuary). A lot depends on where a body is and the types of weather it has been exposed to.
