GUILTY OR NOT GUILTY ???????????I have been on the threads since the beginning (quietly) and have enjoyed all the comments (excluding flames). I still cannot say with certainty whether or not David is guilty or innocent. |
| I have discounted the child porn. As far as I'm concerned it could have been downloaded in a zip file, unzipped, categorized when unzipped, viewed and deleted. In other words, why would Dave have thousands of pictures of big breasted women and only a few of child porn/questionable child porn if he was into child porn? I can't tell you how often I have been spammed with porno pics in my email and in pop-ups while surfing unrelated sites. My 11 year old had a "fact" sheet to do on Beavers several years ago. We needed a good graphic to go along with it. Ever do a search on Google for "beaver"??? Don't try it with your kids around!! That's not saying he isn't guilty. I have tried to understand why the police zeroed in on David so early. What was it that made them so suspicious of him that they didn't investigate the Van Dam's as thoroughly as I think they should have. After all, isn't it common to investigate the parents first? Oh yes, they say they did! I have a friend who is an engineer... he seems to be sort of an air-head at times. He's one of the smartest people I know but lacks common sense sometimes. He has a dreadful memory and is forgetful of things like wallets, key maps, etc. David reminds me of him both in looks and personality. The DNA evidence would carry more weight with me IF they had found ANYTHING in the Van Dam house that linked David with the crime. A drunk Dave quietly slipped into the Van Dam house and kidnapped Danielle and got out without being caught, shedding a hair or sweating all over the place????? It doesn't make sense! He had never been in the house. Did their house have the same floor plan as David's?? I didn't hear if that question had been asked. Damon's story of Danielle writing in her journal just doesn't ring true. Danielle was an active child. I don't know of any child Danielle's age that disciplined. Brenda's story about leaving Danielle in the dressing room is strange. I can see a mother leaving her daughter for a moment or two in a dressing room in order to get something else for her to try on..... BUT TO LEAVE THE STORE??? NO WAY!! The pajamas story bothers me too. Damon's reaction to the pajamas in particular. I have a son that walked in his sleep as a child. It seemed to happen more often when he was excessively tired or under stress. He didn't go outside. I found him one night trying to open the door, but because he was asleep he didn't know to unlock the door. Following Conditions:
