That is the nature of the problem with test questions. Often, not every time, there are two or more possible answers. The IQ test taker must decide first of all the level of the test. If the test is designed for midrange scores, one answer would be better. If the test is designed for high range scores, another answer might be expected.

As far as this test is concerned, the test range appears to be designed for midrange. Success depends on less second-guessing. A total genius might find good reasons to answer every question "wrongly." A high range test-taker would be able to determine which answer is expected; another highrange test-taker might be in a feisty mood and get a score normally indicative of illiteracy.
