Truly, all threads lead to Monty Python. Yes, but real life tends heavily toward Warner Brothers cartoons.

Last I heard, Mensa thought Hitler had the right idea but just went about it the wrong way.

Well the two meetings I did attend were both held at eating establishments around feeding time. And as Xenalyte has said, I was outweighed by about 50 pounds and stood a good 4 or 5 inches above the next tallest person. I don't know, somehow I was expecting something of a more scholarly enviroment. Don't know if you've ever read any Terry Pratchett but it reminded me somehow of the wizards of Unseen University
To: Dementon; Xenalyte
me too!

Don't hate me because I'm brilliant. That's not the reason.

... we compared your answers with others who have taken the test, and according to the sorts of questions you got correct, we can tell your Intellectual Type is a Visual Mathematician.
ooooh. I feel SPECIAL!
Woo hoo!

Is 136 Mensa-quality?
To: babble-on
LOL! I agree. I also had issues with a few of the questions, but this is not unusual for me. I scrapped over a lot of answers on tests when I was in college, and as long as I could show my cognitive process, I usually won if the question had been marked wrong. I scored 129 on this one, but have typically scored over 135 on these types of tests. I am sometimes too discriminating in my interpretations.

And it's 35 cents....thank you very much...with a one in ten option of recieving a ticket for not paying the toll going through EZ ASS...and the damn thing doesn't work....sorry...wrong thread to do this on....of course it would have been interesting to have some of the patronage planning pissants take this test.
I'm calmer now......please...don't ask me about the Belmar Bridge.
To: socal_parrot

Oh yeah, and I'm an insightful linguist.
To: billbears
as a paying member of Mensa I've never understood why smart people would want to pay someone to tell them they were smart.
That doesn't sound very smart to me.
