The Dreamcast is probably the greatest video game console ever made. At least so far. Why? Because it's easy to program, and if you have a cd-rom burner, you can make your own programs for it.

It's a bit tricky, but lots of people have written programs for it, from emulators to other systems to mp3 players to this thing.
