| 04/01/01 | Sunday | Ricci burglarizes a Smart neighbor's home taking various items. |
| 06/05/01 | Tuesday | Ricci steals items from the Smart home while he is employed there as a handyman. Ricci is charged in July of 2002 of 1 count of theft related to the Smart incident. |
| 05/30/02 | Thursday | ~ Ricci returns to pick up his Jeep at the auto repair shop before the shop has a chance to fully fix it He tells the repairman that it needed for an emergency. |
| 06/04/02 | Tuesday | ~ Ricci is at work from about 9am to 5:30pm ~ Ricci claims he spends the evening with friends |
| 06/05/02 | Wednesday | ~ 1:05am - 2 cars are spotted on the SLC Shriner's Hospital Parking Lot by a hospital security guard, two blocks from the Smart residence ~ 1:30am (approx) - Elizabeth is kidnapped from her home ~ 1:30am - Ricci claims to be in bed asleep with his with wife. ~ Ricci is scheduled to be off work all day today. ~ 7:21am - Rachel/Amber alert is issued and national media is involved. ~ 8:30am - Ricci and his neighbor talk about the kidnapping of Elizabeth, Ricci seems to know too much information about it. ~ Sometime during this day Ricci is visited by police in regards to Elizabeth's kidnapping as reported by Angela Ricci (Richard A. Ricci's Wife which is an ex-convict herself) ~ Ricci is seen by his neighbor digging a hole by his (Ricci's) trailer early in the morning. (heard the neighbor say this on TV) |
| 06/06/02 | Thursday | ~ Ricci is scheduled to work from 9am to 5:30pm today, but instead works from 10:30am to 7:00pm ~ Police talk to Ricci this day about the Elizabeth Smart kidnapping. (The media is reporting this, so it could be wrong) |
| 06/08/02 | Saturday | ~ Ricci returns the Jeep to the repair shop to get it fixed. The Jeep is muddy and the repair shop owner sees Ricci remove seat covers from the back of the jeep and place them into a plastic garbage bag that already contains other stuff in it. Also the repair shop owner said a muddy post hole digger was in the back of the Jeep, Ricci removes this also. Ricci has a man waiting across the street to give him a ride. Ricci takes the plastic bag and contents along with the post hole digger with him. Also there is 500 to 1000 extra miles on the Jeep since Ricci picked it up on May 30th, 2002. |
| 06/14/02 | Friday | ~ Ricci is taken into custody for a parole violation, this being drinking while on parole and association with other ex-cons. |
| 07/11/02 | Thursday | Formal charges are filed against Ricci (2 counts of theft & 1 count of burglary) on the theft & burglary of the Smart neighbors home which occurred in April 2001, and 1 more count of theft for stealing from the Smart home on June 6th, 2001. |

I have never on this thread said who I think could be guilty. And I can't now. Other's have taken the little bit of information we have been fed, and in their own words, built a case, and told how they thought they carried it out. That is fine, but it is a waste of space if I DO IT, or anyone does it. We just don't have enough information.
We have seen in the last month, the PD are no longer giving press conferences. We in the last month have only seen the Smart family. Now, hear me. (omg..I sound like James Trafficant there ! LOL )I can understand parents being distraught. However, I think, possibly because of the Smart standing in the community, and the wealth aspect, they have more clout than say, little Casey's Mom.
Having said that...I think Mr. Smart and this entire wealthy family, is used to that kind of treatment of being on top of things in many avenues in life. I have traveled in that kind of circle, and believe me, I know how that is played out. Not that it is bad in most cases. But THIS is different. Some may say.."How is this different ? " I think it is different, because we are now seeing many conflicting things being said. Things that can't be proven..(email, letter, etc), and basically, the whole country that is paying attention to this, some of them have stated as such. There is just something wrong here.
In the matter of life and death, kidnapping and possible murder, there is one venue we have in America, and that is the Law and the Judicial system. There is a time, after the initial act happens, that the family speaks..but what I have seen is the family has contradicted the police, or gave out a little information just as a tease, before saying " I really can't tell you more". This is the time, then, when they do this, that to me, is the time they should leave the Police do their job. The family needs time to rest. I know I would NOT WANT TO REST !! NOR WOULD YOU !!..but I do have the feeling that the Police and F.B.I. would rather they stay off television now, at least. I feel they are hindering by calling the press and going on t.v. at this time.
I think there is something bigger than a kidnapping, and I have no clue or basis for saying so. There are just so many things that are very odd. They have all been talked about at random here at some point, so I won't go over them. Besides, when I try to speak, I invariably get those BB Guns shooting at me ! I just have a gut feeling that this is bigger than we think.
I just pray that the one who is guilty of this, is arrested. I sincerely pray that no matter what it is, that justice will be done. And most of all I pray for the innocent child that had to live this.

Elizabeth has been deprived of so many things this summer because of this, and there's no doubt she's going to have some psychological problems from the trauma. Such a shame!! I believe Lois said Lizzie is strong so she will do well when she's returned because I feel they KNOW she's alive. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, and as we've seen, there's a lot of whackjobs on the streets.
Boylan also said that this time she was called by the authorities. She did not answer about "the voice" MK heard. Could not answer.
She said there was NOT a discrepency in the changing of the baseball cap vs. the golf cap. It was not changed by her. (You will have to re-listen to the re-broadcast to get the exact words)She stated she is NOT a psycic artist.
She had high praise for MK and high praise for the police, and said when this gets to court, no mistakes will have been made. She said MK is very much aware of things and is pro-active, which is good.
I have been working all night, trying to get this picture of the Ricci Wedding loaded onto my website, and it will NOT LOAD !! Grrrrrrr....it is a good picture showing his height next to her. If I don't get it loaded tonight before my eyes go bad, I will try in the morning..

They had both been raped, and because of the Amber Alert, they were about 10 min. away from death !He had heard the helicoptors, and was parked by trees ready to kill them , when the police moved in !!
They were laying down in back of truck with duct tape on ther body. They were clothed. He pulled gun on police, and they (two officers) fired at him, he raised his gun after being shot. They killed him,,shots in the head.
Those girls are alive !! They will have a long way to go to heal..but thank you God, they are alive to heal.
I can't help but think had some mistakes not been made early on in the Smart case, we wouldn't be wondering today. So sad.
