You responded to a typo. The original testimony was that there was no difference between mean and median. It is possible that his answer was to the result and not to the concept but that wasn't how I heard it.

I think you are correct that he doesn't understand the concept. However I doubt that median would ever be a factor in his calculations. I was surprised when Goff said that he took each day's high and low and computed a "median". This whole thing may stem from the fact that Goff doesn't understand the difference either.
