Judge William D. Mudd admonishes the media about attempts to photograph Neal Westerfield, son of defendant David Westerfield, as the son left the courtroom during a break in his testimony Wednesday afternoon, July 24, 2002, in San Diego. The judge had ordered the media not to film the teen. David Westerfield is accused of the kidnapping and murder of 7-year old Danielle van Dam from her home in February. (AP Photo/Pool, Dan Trevan) |

Is that why you are always demanding more evidence? (Get it? The "show me" state? Huh? Huh? Oh, alright. Back to lurking.)

You got it! More than what the prosecution has shown so far to put a man to death.

We know the odds of Danielle being in the MH are better than average,What is the source for this?

Good picture. FRES.
So this latestCasey Wiliamson abduction isn't going to fare well for David Westerfield, because the Jury isn't sequestered, and they might just be in the mood to "send a message", albeit the wrong person.
But keeping a level head, here guys...the alledged abductor was a "homeless man" staying at someones house. So here we have a case of a person with questionable character, staying at someone's house. So, as I see it, it DOES matter that strangers are invited over to the house, as in Brenda inviting total strangers from Dads Bar over to party at her house.

"We know the odds of Danielle being in the MH are better than average,"
"What is the source for this?"
Your own camp is trying to tie Danielle and the MH together - what with the hair in the sink and two drops of DNA. My point is, we have no idea WHEN she was in the MH. Could have been a week before she dissapeared, could have been a month.
To: ItsOurTimeNow
Could have been a year. Who was it who said the testimony indicated the fingerprints on the MH cabinet were smaller in size than the rehydrated prints? DNA is read clearly and easily even when decades old.

Sorry to interrupt the ongoing merriment, but I have to say that this has quite possibly been the most surreal thread I have ever seen on FreeRepublic. Poems, pop song lyrics, silly pictures, I've seen it all on this thread.
Just in case everyone has forgotten, this trial is about the murder of a 7 year-old child, and a few of you are treating it like a bloody circus here. There are those people who don't like FR for whatever reason, and threads like this one are the first thing they point to when they try to marginalize FR posters as kooks. And, in this case, they would be correct in a few instances.
Shameful. Shameful and sickening.
Sorry to be such a buzzkill; I won't darken this thread again. Party on, y'all.

Your own camp is trying to tie Danielle and the MH together I'm not trying to tie her to the MH, the evidence tells us she was in there. There has been no evidence whatsoever that she was ever near, much less in, the MH innocently.
To: BARLF
Oh I hope so Barl F!!
To: cyncooper
Right...I understand that the evidence points to her being inthe MH. Innocence or malice, however, is up to personal interpretation.

Sorry to be such a buzzkillDon't flatter yourself. Your post is positively irrelevant and ineffective. Go back to your misery.

I can't figure out how the specific time can be determined as to when a hair and orange fiber became entangled in a choker necklace. How is that done? Seems to me that if she wore the necklace all the time it could have been there for a while.

Don't forget to take "bleach" off of your shopping list.
Burn your comforters.
Don't go anywhere on a "spur of the moment".
