The Little Red-Haired Girl was never named (no, it wasn't Peggy Jean -- that was a different character). Nor did she ever appear in the strip -- except once in silhouette only, on May 25, 1998. It was at a dance, and -- of course -- Charlie Brown never does get to dance with her (but Snoopy does).
