Thanks Guennie. It's hard for Mr HOB since this church and the former pastor recieved him into the church so readily.
He's very comfortable in the Lutheran church because he feels needed and comfortable in the closeness of the community. I am especially disturbed by the interim pastor. I am going to give the new pastor time to adjust to the church community and see if like his style and messages in his sermons. We'll see.. in the meantime I am still looking.

Know what you mean about the ELCA. We've been members of ours for almost thirty years. We need to look around. It's hard, as you say, to leave good friends and special fellowship.
