This is about the other Roswell in Ga not NM so no UFO tales. Just a curious footnote to the War between the States. I have read somewhere that the bulk of the Roswell deportees ended up in a mill town in Indiana.

It was the latter move which Confederate Gen. John Bell Hood said, "transcends, in studious and ingenious cruelty, all acts ever brought to my attention in the dark history of war."

The good general must have had a lousy education. I thought public education wasn't popular in the antebellum South. :)

Someone shold inform this author that Natchez is in MISSISSIPPI, not Alabama (see first paragraph).

There are over a hundred beautiful ante-bellum homes in Natchez, and many are open to the public as either Bed & Breakfast Inns or for public tours.
