Daily Prayer Thread 6/30/02

Psalm 119
169 Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.
170 Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.
171 My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.
172 My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.

And I'd like to ask a prayer for all that have lost loved ones this week. To a special man who has meant a lot to some, sorry to hear about your loss and you're in our prayers

Father, You alone sustain us and recreate us each day when we wake. You alone give us rest and the courage to face another day, even when our days are filled with pain and uncertainty. You alone have given us our families and dear loved ones to care for and about. Thank You, Father, for all these magnificent provisions. Fill our hearts with joy at the thought of these blessings, and comfort those who have lost loved ones. Let them know without reservation that this is not the final trump...that You hold the keys to death, and that none have slipped through Your mighty fingers, but instead will be gathered together in a glorious homecoming at the appropriate time. Thank You, Father!

Once again, dear Lord, I ask Your special blessings and provisions for all who post or lurk here. Provide richly for every need, fill every heart and mind with Your glory, and guide us in all we do so that we may bring praise to You. Bind us together in unbreakable bonds of love that we may serve and love each other as is Your good plan for us. Work through us always to bring Your messages of peace and victory to all who are seeking and afraid. Grant us courage in the face of pestilence that we may act in every way possible to preserve and heal those who are hurting and afflicted. Pour out Your Spirit upon us as Your people and confer Your strength to us as we seek to do Your will in these last days. Thank You, Dearest Father!

Father, I ask Your special help and intercession for Betsy and my dear friend. Heal them both of every hurt and affliction, and fill their hearts with love not only for You, but also for themselves...for You created them both from and out of love to be a blessing to many throughout their lives...that they may both live full and complete lives in abundance, as has been Your plan since the dawn of time. Bless and magnify our relationships and smile upon us as we care for each other as You wish. In Jesus' precious name I ask these things, trusting that You will keep Your promises and provide all these things...Amen!
