AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 521) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | June 26, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 06/26/2002 4:18:31 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

WorldCom discovered for the entirety of 2001 and the first quarter of 2002, its CFO was overreporting earnings - to the total tune over the period of nearly $4 billion. Arthur Andersen was the accounting firm; they claim their work was in compliance with SEC standards and that it was WorldCom's CFO that was withholding data from them. The Justice Department has opened a criminal investigation. A preliminary search of the Internet has not, so far, turned up any connections with the previous Administration. Give it time.

Martha Stewart is now facing a wider investigation into her stock dealings. She says she wants "to concentrate on [her] salad."

The FBI searched a home near Ft. Ditrick. The home belonged to a scientist with access to anthrax.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

She is doing ok. Thanks for asking. She spent the $20 I gave her yesterday for food toward teddy bears that her and her friends gave to her friend with the broken back. Don't tell her, but when I heard what she did, I cried.

I can't wait to open up a B&B myself. The inmates are in charge of the asylum where I work now. Today was another adventure down the rabbit hole.

Of all the stupid, cockamamie, asisine, ridiculous, ill-conceived, outrageous, insulting, dumb, LIBERAL rulings that have been handed down in recent years, THIS ONE TAKES THE CAKE.

I was in the car when I heard Rush announce this and I darn near swerved off the road I WAS SO MAD.

I suppose the phrase ".........firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence" makes the Declaration of Indepdence unconstitutional.

Idiots.

Not you. THEM.

This whole spanking thing reminds me of the time I dropped in to visit my sister ... just in time to catch her spanking her oldest ... as follows:

"How" ... smack ..."many times" ... smack ..."do I have" ... smack ..."to tell you" ... smack ..."to STOP hitting your brother?" ... smack ...

She has yet to live this down ...

Trill has this thing against fish, and has since childhood. I'm slowly showing her that not everyone cooks fish that smells like a lake beach in the summer, and bristles with bones. That's why I spent so much time deboning them. I eat around the bones if it's just me. The bones add flavor when cooking.

Wait until I post the menu for our 4th of July party. GRIN!

Everything sounds more elegant in French.

"Grand imper, pommes frites, et une secousse de chocolat. "

Big Mac, french fries, chocolate shake.:)

FWIW - Molly, I don't know if Betty would be interested in this, but the last time John began to lose his hair from chemo, I took him to the barber and got him a Marine Corp crew. He never became completely bald that time and the hair seemed to come back faster.

Glad you like "My Big Fat Greek Wedding". I'm still having flash-backs and laughing like all heck. Noticed your comment to Nita - I honestly don't know if the Greeks taught the Italians, or vice versa, but during a good part of that movie I felt like I was back in my Aunts kitchen!

Sorry I disappeared. I had to run out to the store in between rainstorms. Right after this stupid court decision was announced, we had the most LOUD thunderstorm. Sounded like a message to me!

Well, the Lord works in mysterious ways, and perhaps this is to show people what can be lost if they don't pay attention! My idea of a good judicial appointment would be someone who, when they saw a case like this, would say, "Oh, please. Go away!"
