We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
President Bush stated yesterday that he supports the notion of a Palestinian State, but not with Arafat as its leader - he must go.
The FBI, using authority granted by the Patriot Act, is now going into libraries with search warrants checking on the reading records of people they, with a court's assent, believe are terrorists or working in concert with terrorists.
Wildfires in the west are consuming acerage at a rate about double the usual 10-year average.
China is planning to buy eight more Russian submarines.
President Bush has signalled he does not want to see AMTRAK shut down.
And shares of the Martha Stewart company Living Omnimedia fell by 18% yesterday.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
...see you all later....:)
Jacob is not doing well, he isn't responding to treatment. With HUS, all the doctors can do is use supportive measures, the body must work through and heal itself. He is on morphine right now, which keeps him sleeping. Thanks for asking.
I always wondered why the police did not formally announce to Edmunds (especially since he was a "vagrant" and probably had no money for a lawyer) that if he came in voluntarily that they would allow him to plead to lesser charges and give him access to a Public Defender. I can see why they wouldn't want to drop the charges completely, but they COULD have offered him some nibble to bite on. Oh well...that's water under the bridge now. At least he's being cooperative, and the FBI has said that they would drop the "flight" charges against him. He must be giving them some REALLY good info. And I think you're right....Ricci is a big part of the puzzle, we just don't know what piece he is.
You think maybe Rush has been reading FR lately......because it sure upset his buddy holdonnow.....hahaha!
I just have one question.....how come he was allowed to get away with all the personal attacks on that thread...
He crossed a line in my book when he insulted illstillbe....grrrrrrrr!
He didn't take a position and debate people .... he just started throwing bombs..
That's not cool. I will agree with some of the others, it seems more common these days.
It has settled in my chest...
Remember those poor disruptors that wandered in here........:-)
I kept looking for the Moderator to erase some of his posts...wondering the same thing you have wondered.
I finished reading the thread this morning and was really bothered by Mr. Robinson's post (#1448 I think) where he dismissed Levin's remarks (IMHO cruel and unnecessary) as their being "his style".
Jim admonishes Freepers to forego personal insults; yet Levin was flinging them right and left last night with nary a word of reproof from Moderator or Jim. Shades of Orwell's "Animal Farm".....Some are more equal than others.
Bully (LOL) for you, Miss Marple, for holding your own against his calling you "intellectually dishonest" and his temper tantrums just because Freepers disagreed with "the Great One" and had the courage to tell him so. And Illstillbe, you really are a poet......of the best kind!
His sarcasm and insults and name-calling flung your way, OldFriend, Dane, MM; IS, and TF were beneath contempt. My former respect for him has drastically changed.
Late getting to the dance - as usual. BUT, I had to comment on this because I will be in soooo much hot water. I've been collecting Indian artifacts from all over the Southwest for the last 35 years -- and yes, they are mostly all displayed around my house. Guess I better put them under wraps before this 4H investigation wraps up!
Do you think that a class action against the environmental groups by those who suffered losses in AZ would slow these idiots down?
Mrs. Chairman and I have two Navaho urns, which we display proudly - in part because of the history of getting these home.
A few years back, we toured Colorado, and during part of that we went to Four Corners to perform the usual touristy ritual of standing in four states at once. While there, we visited the Navaho trading stands that were all around there and bought two 7" hand painted urns. These were carefully packed and placed in the trunk of the car we were driving.
Many days later, after having picked the kids up from grandma and grandpa - who were watching them while we were on our vacation - we were in rural Delaware stopped at a traffic light - one which a 16-year-old girl driving a 1985 Mustang did not see was red, nor did she see we were stopped there.
The resulting crash totalled the car we were in. Other than some muscle pain, thankfully no one was injured. The urns were packed in the trunk nearest the point of collision.
When we were able to gain access to the automobile at the storage lot to which it had been towed, we collected our belongings from the vehicle.
Surprisingly - remember they were at point of impact - both urns survived with virtually zero damage. One of them had a very tiny chip off of the lip of the urn - about 1 sq cm. in size.
Rather amazing.
There's a thought.
Actually, his suggesting I was Barney Frank, and then James Carville, was hysterical. The man has melted down and is in need of some serious medication.
