I had not posted here in a while and now I find that F.R. has dumbed down their posting format.
I guess it was bound to happen. I enjoyed the HTML because it forced me to think and learn while posting news, events, and replies here on F.R..
Now just anyone can come along and post anything with no thought at all. (HMMMM?)
I rather doubt that the Admin Mod just happend to be Jim Rob, do you?

Which reminds me, I gotta go to the store and get some smokes. Later bro!
I try to check in every day but I don't always go to the Chat Side!
but never mind..it's really NOT that big of a deal.
No You Are correct it is NOT. I just like to get things going! :>)
Does that mean I've been dumb-down or lazy? No, it's smart and time efficient. Whether I have good html skills is irrelevant.
they had to detect for themselves and in those hallow halls of fiery fortitude, no spell checker was to be found
What did they use for erasers, if they had even those.
BTW, I really like the cat helping the other cough up a fur ball.

I would also say that that makes you skilled in puters!
I use Front Page Express, but still do it the long way on F.R.
I've had posts moved around and taken off the sidebars, but never deleted and I have never been banned!
Does that make me a bad person?
For Himmelfarb and many others at the [recent National Association of Scholars] meeting no recent event better summed up what defines the current crisis in academia than actress Goldie Hawn delivering the commencement address this year at American University in Washington (see "The College Cats Get Liberal Tongue," June 24). "Listen to the sounds of your own heart, the college of your own heart," Himmelfarb quoted Hawn as saying, then asked: "Is this not a thoroughly narcissistic statement?" Another participant in the conference later summed it up as a statement from "the university of me."From Insight Magazine (previously posted by aculeus but totally ignored by the FR dummies). :(

At least one poster picked up on my sarcasm with out the sarcasm tag!
It's nice to be able to give a quick reply without thinking about HTML, but sometimes it's fun to spruce up a reply too!
Guess I shouldn't have titled it "Dumbing Down", although I do it on occasion!
