That is up to us. This “conservative” jihad on the republican party will only make another Clinton inevitable.

How true, how true. An earlier post of mine was met with a comment by sneakypete that if I didn't believe in legislating morality I didn't belong in the Republican party. With attitudes like his, the Republicans will continue to lose elections. We have to be willing to accept that the party can encompass more than one rigid point of view by one rigid faction. If the party becomes the right-wing-fundamentalist-Christian-Republicans-only-allowed, you can guarantee that more Clintons, Dasholes, and worse will maintain or regain power.

That is true. The Republican Party is SUPPOSED to stand for individual freedoms. You ain't free when other people have the right to force THEIR morality on you using the force of law.

If the party becomes the right-wing-fundamentalist-Christian-Republicans-only-allowed, you can guarantee that more Clintons, Dasholes, and worse will maintain or regain power.

Please make up your mind which side of this arguement you are on. I DO thank you for making my point,though.
