One more, 5th grade math teacher at Crescent Elementary back in 78. Lightning struck through the window and hit me square in the chest. It discolored my shirt and left a burned bruise on me. I was on the floor crying in pain and she told me to shut up, quit acting stupid and get back in my seat. No doctor, no help. It's a wonder I didn't die. I wish I could remember her name.

That's the way they used to teach school In The Old Days. Kid's lucky he didn't get detention. Why, in my day that teacher woulda had him choppin' wood through recess. Which is odd since the school was heated by a gas boiler ...
