This is the last post that I had censored by FR. Any racism here? No it is not the "official line" so it was pulled.

If it can be him today, it can be US tomorrow. Also, note that he's only guilty of possessing plans for a dirty bomb. Isn't that simply a "thought crime"?

You are right about it could be you or me tomorrow. I think this guy is guilty of absolutely nothing at this point. He has not even been charged yet.
As an American citizen he should be charged or let go. If charged he should recieve a fair trial just like any other criminal in this country.
There is no prisoner designation in our criminal courts for "Combatant". If they outlaw firearm ownership today could you not be considered a combatant tomorrow if you fail to comply? Designated as such couldn't you be stripped of your Constitutional Right to due process?
Richard Jewel was falsely accused by this same agency. If he had been wisk off to a naval stockaid and tried before a military tribunal he probably would still be in jail and we would all be convinced that the Olympic bomber had been caught.
This can be done without pissing on the Constitution. The threat to liberty and freedom comes from Washington not Afghanistan. It's not Osama that denies an American citizen due process in this country. It's not the Taliban that allows law enforcement to break in and search your house and papers without a search warrant with no prior evidence of criminal activity. It's not Saddam that requires you to jump through hoops and do flips in order to own a firearm for self defense.
It might not be an egregious violation, but it is a violation just the same. Funny how you're screaming bloody murder, when all you got was a speeding ticket . . . and on this thread of all places.
And a FINE post it was! You are either a free citizen,or a subject. You can't be both. If YOU don't have the freedom to worship as you choose,*I* don't have the freedom to NOT worship if the government wants to insist that I do. It's not possible to take away MY freedoms without endangering your own. Why is this concept so hard for people to understand?
Really? What "due process" did the thousands of people who were murdered in the Twin Towers recieve?
I tend to agree with you on this..
I mean, Johnny Tally-ban get's lawyers and a trial and he was caught in a foreign country, in a war zone within that country, with a gun in his hand and a rag on his head..
So, yeah.. If anyone should have forefitted their citizenship and therefore their right's it should be johnny first.. IMO.
(and that moron from france, can you even believe he's getting a jury trial? Oh well, it will be good from an entertainment standpoint anyway.. )
